Code 4 Public Safety Emblems is a law enforcement owned and operated small
business, partnership.

I am a 20 year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and
currently a Sergeant assigned as an investigator at the professional
standards bureau. I have worked several different assignments throughout my
career but spent the majority of my tenure in the field working as a patrol
officer, field training officer, gang officer and field supervisor. My
other assignments included Communications Division and Jail Division.
I spent 17 years in uniform and gained a respect for the need to have an
impeccable uniform appearance. This also manifested itself into a passion
for the police officer’s badge. The LAPD badge is one of the most
recognizable symbols of law enforcement in the world today. The fact that I
get to wear one is not lost on me. It is my desire that every public safety
employee in the country have the same reverence for their own badge.

Originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina I
moved to United States in 1997. I have worked in several different facets of
Iowa/Illinois law enforcement. I was a Reserve Police Officer with the
Milan, Illinois Police Department, as well as a Translator/Interpreter for
Bosnian (Serbo-Croatian) and German. And I am currently serving in a law
enforcement capacity with Trinity Regional Health System, in Quad Cities
(Iowa/Illinois).
We are both collectors of public safety
emblems. As such, we have both gained a great deal of knowledge about the
history and the available emblems that departments supply their personnel
with. While some departments take great pride in their badges and patches,
many do not seek out a product that will give the employee pride as well as
show the public that appearance is important. Code 4 was formed with that
pride in mind, as well as the security of the public.
